Autumn 2012

Autumn 2012

Autumn is always a beautiful time of year and this was definitely reflected in the Heath’s Harvest Service. Thank you to all those who helped to decorated our lovely chapel, it looked wonderful. The theme of the service was ‘thankfulness’ and people were asked to write on leaves what they were thankful for, and these were then displayed on a ‘tree’ in the font. It was wonderful to see how many different things people were thankful for. This ranged from family, friends, to being thankful for simply being alive and there was even someone who was thankful for sleep!

Our Harvest Auction was a huge success, people were extremely generous and we sold everything from yummy homemade biscuits and cakes to lovely handmade jewelry.

We made over £170, which will all go towards the Heath Chapel roof appeal. Thank you so much for every ones kind donations and to all 60 people who attended! It was fantastic to see some new people, especially the children we hope to see you all again. We are looking for children to join in with all our services, especially our Christingle service in December, so please don’t shy!

Our next service will be Remembrance, on Sunday 11th November at our usual time of 6.30pm.
